BFR Local retreats are intentionally planned for slowing pace and opening space to commune with God. These retreats are focused on you and your time with the Lord more than connecting with the others attending.
Half Day Silent Retreats
Silent retreats are a time to engage in the practice of silence alongside others. During this time you can journal, pray, walk the grounds, read, rest, or really do whatever you feel like your heart and soul need. The retreat will begin with a short time together to prepare our hearts and minds, enter the silence and then we will break the silence with lunch together. Retreats begin promptly at 9:30am and finished by 1:30pm.
Does the season leading up to Christmas leave you feeling frazzled and like you may be missing the whole point? We can relate. That’s why we have created an afternoon of retreat to help you focus your attention before getting pulled in a thousand Christmas directions. Sometimes the simple act of intentionally re-collecting ourselves and offering a heart of surrender to Christ, before it all becomes a blur of gift wrap and school parties, is just what the soul needs to stay grounded amidst the festivities.
We want to guide you in practices that can anchor you throughout the Advent season. You will have time and space on our beautiful grounds to sit, reflect, and enter the season with an expectant heart waiting for Christ to arrive and be born in you in unexpected ways and places.

"Moving in silence and solitude allowed me to hear my breath, listen more intently to God's word and know that He will never leave me. I'm human and sometimes my nerves and fears get the best of me, but this retreat allowed me to put the focus back on The Lord."
