Offerings at The Retreat House

Silent Retreats

Silent retreats are a time to engage in the practice of silence alongside others. During this time you can journal, pray, walk the grounds, read, rest, or really do whatever you feel like your heart and soul need.

We will begin the time at 9:30 with a teaching and a guide to help lead you into the silence. The half day retreats create space to be with God and with yourself among others.

Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be available. We will close out the silence at 12:30 with a time for sharing, and we will enjoy lunch together from 1:00-1:30.

Secure:
a workshop on attachment & connection

Join us at The Retreat House for a 3-week journey into the power of attachment and how it shapes our relationships with God, ourselves, and others.

In a safe, reflective environment, we'll explore the foundational patterns of attachment, how they develop, and how they show up in everyday life. Through teaching, guided exercises, and group discussion, you’ll gain tools to cultivate greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and deeper, more secure connections.

Whether you're seeking healing, clarity, or growth, this workshop invites you to begin the sacred work of reconnecting from the inside out. This workshop is available in person or virtually.

Parenting From Delight

Parenting is a long, exhausting journey, but what a gift! We want so desperately to “do it right” that sometimes we miss the wonder of these formative years. Let’s learn and share together some hope and perspective for connection and delight. These years are forming them and forming us along the way!

This content is being offered in the format of a retreat to give you ample time for prayerful reflection and journaling with what is taught. Spiritual director, Allison Bradsher, will share from her own experiences of motherhood and spiritual formation. â€‹â€‹

Help for the Helper Private Retreats

Renewing those who care for others

A restorative retreat for those in helping roles like teachers, ministry leaders, church staff, and medical professionals-designed to nourish the soul and renew the spirit.

Help for the Helper offers a sacred pause for groups who rarely have time to rest, reflect, or process what they’ve experienced and carried. Through thoughtful teaching, guided silence, reflective practices, and shared listening, participants are gently invited to breathe deeply and be cared for.

This retreat can be hosted at TRH or at a location of your choice. Running from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, the day includes a welcoming teaching, time for silence and reflection, listening and processing groups, practical resources, and an on-site lunch.

Partners in Care

An avenue of care for your staff that builds resilience, healthy rhythms, and deep connection to God, self, and others. A healthy staff leads to a thriving congregation or business.

We desire to partner with churches and businesses in the Memphis area to offer people ways to experience silence, solitude, stillness, and healing. We understand the toll that work, life, and ministry can take and having a healthy staff leads to a healthy company or ministry. We want to be a resource for you and for your staff.

Partners in Care enables you to empower and engage your staff and congregation in ways that will affect the overall experience for your staff and enhance staff culture.

Testimonial

"Moving in silence and solitude allowed me to hear my breath, listen more intently to God's word and know that He will never leave me. I'm human and sometimes my nerves and fears get the best of me, but this retreat allowed me to put the focus back on The Lord."
